Well this will be the first full week of school for the kids. Jacob came in yesterday tired and sweaty, they have begun to learn how to march in ROTC. He was grinning from ear to ear when he came through the door, he looked at me and said "I got ranked today", he looked at me and said, I made Squad Commander, and that is usually a 11th grade position(he is a 9th grader). Well needless to say, I am very proud of him, now he can go boss some other kids and quit bossing his sister Now Amber's turn to tell about her time, she started art class today, her teacher is the coach of the golf team at her school. His name is Coach Jones. He is a very nice man, but can be tough if he has to be tough. Now you have to remember Amber has a learning disability, so she came in yesterday with her first picture they done, it was of our house and the family, she lettered each person with the first letter of their name and when it came to mine, she had S on it, I asked her Amber how come mine has S and your Daddy's has D, she said because your name is Sherry and Daddy's is daddy, now how come I didn't figure that one out myself. So we have survived three days of school, I just we survive the rest of the school year.
i am very proud of my little "tree frog" for making squad commander. He could have called me and told me. Amber drew some pictures when she was up here and hung them on my refrigerator door. They were of tall buildings, like in New York. Very good I might add. she has a good imagination. She said she wanted to be an art teacher and I told her she could be anything she wanted to be IF she worked hard enough at it. THAT'S MY GRANDCHILDREN!! LOVE THEM BOTH.!!
