OK Amber went to school this morning dressed for school pictures, she also attended a in school dance, now I have no idea if she wet her hair again like she did one year . Well she made the A, B, Honor Roll, which is not so easy for her, but she did it. Her Dad came home from work and announced that we was going somewhere next Saturday and left it at that. So I told him that wasn't right to say something that was over a week away. Come to find out Amber won two tickets to Alabama Adventure for making the honor roll. Well too top this off, Mike was doing his job and found 2 more tickets to Alabama Adventure, so he turned them into the office, no one came forward to claim them by 3 o'clock, so the school counselor gave him the 2 tickets, so now all four of us will spend the day at ALABAMA ADVENTURE WAY TO GO AMBER, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. | | Posted by sherry at 10:58 PM -

Yesterday my son came in with his dress uniform for the ROTC. He tried the uniform on to make sure it would fit. The shirt fit good until we noticed some stains on it, so I tried washing it, the stains wouldn't come out, the pants fit good in the waist but was way to long in the legs. He took them back to the school, and they found him a better shirt, but the pants, I will have to take them and have them altered. I told him if he outgrew these pants, I was going to get him, then he went and tried everything back on and showed me he learned how to fix his tie in a double windsor knot, now I have no clue what that is, but it looked good. They also brought in their progress reports, son had 3 A'S AND 1 B. AMBER HAD ALL A'S, now I have no clue how she outdone her brother but she did. I am very proud of both of these kids, no matter what anybody else say's RIGHT GANGAN??????? OK EVERYONE HAVE A GOOD DAY.

Yesterday we loaded up and headed to my Mom's for a dinner party. We thought we was going to have to call her and tell her we couldnt make it, due to the fact that Tropical storm Fay decided to give all of us a visit, But I that God would take care of us out there and back. I knew some of the people there and I met 2 people that I didn't know. Her table was set with some beautiful flowers for a centerpiece. She had meatballs simmering in sauce, she bar b qued chicken nuggets, some kind of dish with vegetables and smoked sausage in it that was delicious, a salad, baked beans. For dessert, she had watermelon and canteloupes mixed, grapes, and doughnuts for anyones delight. As we sat around the table and talked and laughed, I couldn't help think about that table having many other dinners like that one. WAY TO GO MOM, EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS AND IT WAS ALL SO MUCH FUN. BUT THANK GOODNESS WE MADE IT ALL THE WAY BACK HOME WITH THE HELP OF GOD AND WE ARE NOW SAFE AND SOUND WITH FULL TUMMIES The reason being we are glad, is the fact that our car was acting up and we have no clue what was wrong with it, it spit and sputtered but we got there and back home. NOT ONLY THANKS TO MOM FOR SUCH GOOD FOOD AND FUN, WE ALSO THANK GOD FOR TAKING CARE OF US ON THAT LONG JOURNEY THERE AND BACK. EVERY ONE HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY AND SMILE GOD LOVES YOU ALL | | Posted by sherry at 4:44 AM -

When we were younger our parents bought us all sorts of board game, we had Monopoly, Sorry, Checkers etc.... On Friday or Saturday night we would sit at the kitchen table and play. I would sit at one end of the table and my Dad would be at the opposite end, my sister and I would get to choose which game we would play. I hated Monopoly, because it took to long to play. We chose to play Sorry, now mind you it's not easy playing against your parents. We would start playing and it always seem that our Dad was the one that always got sent back to his home place in the game, he would lower his lips out in a pout and act like he was going to cry, by the time the game was over we would be so hard at him. The only game I didn't like playing with him, was a card game called Spoons. This was a fast paced game and it involved using teaspoons from the kitchen. You had to get four of a kind and then reach and grab a spoon, if you didn't get the spoon you were out. Now mind you my Dad was a loving man, but he changed personalities when he played this game, he was very aggressive in this game He would grab the spoon even if no one was reaching for them. Once we was playing and he grabbed the spoon along with my hand and it hurt too. Now that I have children we try and play games on certain nights too, but I have figured out that Uno is not my game my daughter aims for me all the time, and everytime I get on the Nascar game with my son, my car is hitting the wall, and somebody help me, if he puts all the drivers on that game, I have discovered, I sure miss playing games with my parents, I cannot play with these new fangled ones that the kids have today Have a great day everybody. | | Posted by sherry at 12:15 PM -

Ok update on Amber, she was suppose to stay in one room this year, due to her learning is slow. The teacher called me and they are moving her into two other classes, she will leave this room to go to English and Math. She said Amber was her higher achiever in her room and she didn't want Amber to be held back, she wanted to challenge Amber more. Amber was not to happy about it, but she has adjusted to it real good. Now Jacob is training his unit in JROTC and he's still not sure about telling these kids they are doing it wrong, when he's not sure he's doing it right. His first class he gets to sit around due to the fact that his schedule got messed up and there is no opening in the other classes, so he has to take two Life classes, his feet hurt from learning to march, but he loves it. A Navy recruiter went to the school and Jacob was so happy to hear him talk about what the Navy has to offer, considering that is choice of the military to go into thank goodness I still have a few more years to adjust to it. WELL HOPE EVERYONE HAS A NICE DAY AND SMILE | | Posted by sherry at 8:38 AM -
