We took the kids shopping for school clothes, Jacob and his dad went one way, and Amber and I went the other way. Amber spots the Hannah Montana stuff right off, well due to her seizure medicine she has gained weight, at least the Doctor warned us this would happen. We only found one thing of Hannah Montana that would fit her. So I let her try it on to make sure it fit, and thank goodness it did, or I might have had a war on my hands. Im not sure what kids are wearing in school in other parts of the country, but my son has decided that wearing a tshirt under a dress shirt, either half buttoned or all the way buttoned is the new trend. It doesnt matter to Amber, as long as it fit her and looked good. She bought a t-shirt that fits her to a tee "OK IM PERFECT, Quit Staring" now that shirt was made for her, because she tells us that all the time. Jacob is into racing big time, his favorite driver is Earnhardt Jr. So we now have 5 Nascar shirts with something to do with the Earnhardts Sr and Jr. I also discovered what my parents went through as we was getting ready for school, ITS EXPENSIVE AS ALL GET OUT | | Posted by sherry at 9:45 PM -

I woke up yesterday morning to the smell of waffles, Amber had gotten up earlier than I expected her too, and she decided she wanted breakfast. We keep waffles around the house all the time, so she got them down and stuck them in the toaster and made her breakfast. When I walked into the kitched there sat two plates full of waffles, I asked her why did she have two plates and she said "Mom one is yours, I made you breakfast too." I told her thank you, and I asked ok then, where is the butter and syrup, she said no butter and syrup, we are having yogurt waffles. Hey dont knock it, it taste pretty good. She had even gotten the orange juice and poured us both a glass. When I told her to go change clothes, she started laughing, when I looked, she had already gotten into her clothes for the day and she even brushed her hair, she was waiting on me to put it into a pony tail. After we ate our breakfast together she put the dishes in the dishwasher and she fed our cat MR. Gizmo, who was patiently waiting for his food. Now if I could get my son in gear I would be doing good. Thank you Amber for the good breakfast. | | Posted by sherry at 7:24 AM -

I have tried for two weeks to get Jacob to drain the little swimming pool that we bought for them and clean it up, so we can refill it. Well we are working on our third week, so Amber goes and gets my mop bucket and heads out the door with it. I asked her where she was going with my mop bucket and she replies, she is going to go and dip the water out of the pool, now this pool holds 800 gallons of water, and she was going to do this by dipping the water out little by little. When Jacob heard this nothing to him, but he ran out and put the drain plug in and started draining the pool. Now hopefully I can get him to clean it up, so we can refill it for her to enjoy for the rest of the summer, that might take another 2 weeks, Way to go Amber, you got him to do something that I couldnt. | | Posted by sherry at 9:39 PM -

I tell you that I hope to be half the Lady that my mom is. She survived having cancer, she has survived through having to raise me, which I know wasnt easy, I gave her such a hard time. She survived my school years, and yes Mom I know you deserve my High School Diploma more than I do , but she is a strong woman, her belief in God is outstanding. I love reading her blogs on Roselane. When my father passed away, I thought they had been together for so long that she would grieve herself, but she picked herself up and marched onward. I admire her so much and I dont think she realized how much I Love her. I just hope that I can be as strong as her. She loves her grandkids and is always involved somehow in their lives, no matter what she is doing she takes the time to talk to them when they call, and if they go for a visit, she finds things for them to do. Shes a GREAT MOM AND GRANDMOTHER, GO GANGAN | | Posted by sherry at 5:33 AM -

Last night my 13 year old son, was sitting here watching Blues Clues, he use to watch this show years ago, he even had a shirt that looked like Steves. He would sit here and talk to the tv as they hunted clues for whatever they would be discovering that day. He did last night, his sister came in as sisters do and started talking to the tv herself, he told her to leave the room, that Blue Clues was his show not hers, I sat here and could not believe what I was hearing, He was arguing with his sister over a little ones show, I started laughing when he went to his room and pulled out the Blue Clues dog that we had given him for Christmas all those years ago. I thought he had given that thing away. Oh well I have no clue what goes through this kids mind half the time anyways. | | Posted by sherry at 4:54 AM -
