Bus To School On First Day

My son Jacob will be going into the 9th grade next school term. I was sitting here thinking how grown up he has become, such a handsome young man. Then I remembered his first day of kindergarten and his first school bus ride. I was nervous about letting him ride that bus, but lucky me, he was excited about going. We walked to the bus stop and stood there with him, the bus pulled up and I expected him to grab my hand and start screaming I dont want to go Mommy. But that little fellow got on that bus, took a seat and never once looked back. I cried because he didnt need his mommy after all. Later that afternoon, I was standing in a neighbors yard, waiting on the bus, It came to a stop, and all the kids got off, No Jacob, I thought oh no, he didnt remember the bus number and he missed the bus, Just as I started home to call the school the bus rolled to a stop and the bus driver was laughing. Jacob had fallen asleep in the seat and she didnt see him, until he raised up and said I want to get off now. Way to go son.

 Sometimes I Wonder

I often wonder what goes through a kids mind. I have one child that is a silly willy, like his mom and granddad, but he is a special young man now. I call him my booboo, hes not so little anymore, hes taller than I am. He has a wisecrack for just about anything. Then there is my daughter, My brother in law called her ambo, when she was born, because she had to fight for her little life. She was not happy coming into this world at all and was letting everyone know about it. Yesterday, she came in from playing outside and was getting a drink from the refrigertor, she looked over at her dad and me and said "Im parched", her dad and I just looked over at her and busted out laughing, We asked her if she knew what parched meant and she yeah, it means I am dry and need to wet my throat. Ok I have no clue what is next out of either of my kids mouth, but I cant wait till the next time

 My MOM

You know when you have the best Mom in the world. She will do anything for you she can, I have such a Mom. When we would go on trips to different states, she would make our dad stop at every historical marker there was, I dont care if they were 25ft apart. My sister and I would have to listen to her read them. Or we got at least one visit to a Presidents home. We made two visits in one year, one to James K. Polks home and Andrew Jacksons home. We even visited Daniel Boone's home. Now mind you were young kids, we wanted amusement parks and rides. But Mom and Dad, would always take us to fun places as well. If I need my Mom for anything she is right there for me, she would take time to come to my home and take care of the kids while I was in the hospital. She would bring the kids to visit me, if it was where she could. She is very involved in all of her grandkids lives. Way to go MOM.

I have this discussion with both kids since they were little, I will not go through this summer what I went through last summer, do you understand me? Of course I get the same answer, yes maam we will not give you a hard time this summer. Yeah right I am so sure this will work again. I am just here, I have no clue about the rest.

 hO hUM

Ok, this day is one of those days, when you wish you could get up and start all over again. Nothing I have done today is going right, first i missed talking to a special friend, because I was busy talking on the phone. Then I dropped my baking ham on the floor and had to throw that away, and then mop the floor, I think I just need to take a sit down for a few minutes and wish I had to clue, why some days are better than others.
